Quick Start

This guide takes you from a fresh Bitship account to a live, automated delivery. It takes about five minutes.

Prerequisites

• A Bitship account with your email confirmed
• A Square account with at least one catalog item you want to sell digitally

Step 1 — Connect Square

If you haven’t already, connect your Square account from the welcome checklist or your Account page. Full details: Connect Your Square Account.

Step 2 — Create a product

1. Go to Products and click Add new.
2. Choose the Square item (and variation) this product corresponds to.
3. Pick how the file is delivered:
   • Upload files to Bitship — attach the file(s) directly, or
   • External Link — paste a link to the file (for example, a Google Drive share link)
4. Click Save.

Note

If your Square item doesn’t show up in the list, you need to create it in Square first. The form links directly to your Square item library to do this.

Step 3 — You’re live

That’s it — there’s no separate “publish” step. From now on, whenever a customer buys that Square item, Bitship automatically emails them a secure download link. Repeat Step 2 for each digital product you sell.
