Square Connection Issues

A healthy Square connection is what lets Bitship see your catalog and receive orders. Here’s how to fix the common issues.

Your Account page shows your Square Integration status:

StatusWhat it means
ConnectedEverything is working — you’ll see your Square business name
DisconnectedNo Square account is linked yet
RevokedAccess was revoked, usually from the Square side
Invalid token / needs reconnectionYour authorization expired or is no longer valid
ErrorBitship couldn’t reach Square to check status

Anything other than Connected means Bitship can’t see your catalog or receive orders.

  1. Go to your Account page.
  2. Click the Connect/Reconnect button next to Square Integration.
  3. Sign in to Square and approve the connection again.

Once the status turns green Connected, Bitship can see your catalog and receive orders again. See Connect Your Square Account.

Make sure you’re signing in as the account owner or an admin allowed to authorize third-party apps for your Square business.

My Square item isn’t showing up when creating a product

Section titled “My Square item isn’t showing up when creating a product”

Bitship reads your item list live from Square each time you open the product form. If an item is missing:

  • Confirm your Square Integration status is Connected.
  • Confirm the item exists in your Square item library (not just a draft) — the product form links directly to it.
  • Refresh the page after creating a new item in Square; it should appear on the next load.

If purchases aren’t producing deliveries, check:

  1. The purchased item has a matching product in Bitship. See Create a Product.
  2. Your Square Integration status is Connected.
  3. The order actually went through in Square (not just started).

If everything above checks out and it’s still not working, see Order Not Delivered.

Go to your Account page and reconnect — signing in with the correct Square account replaces the existing connection.

Email nick@bitship.app with your account email and a description of what you’re seeing.
